“Ordinary” is Eventstellar’s second single, released worldwide through Sólir Music on February 7, 2017. Recorded in November 2016 at The Warehouse Zone Studio, it was produced by Matt Dublin, mixed and mastered by Michael Nikou and Sōun Kanda. This single delves into themes of detachment, routine, and the search for meaning in a world that often feels monotonous. It features three tracks:
“Strangers” is a song about fractured bonds and the transformation of once-deep connections into distant echoes. Through reflective lyrics, it captures the dissolution of friendships and creative partnerships, acknowledging the past while embracing the inevitable separation of paths.
“It’s the same love” a hypnotic, minimalist piece inspired by a cyberpunk world, particularly influenced by a Korean urban lifestyle. The song’s repetitive structure emphasizes the eerie sameness of modern existence, questioning whether love, life, and routine are merely recycled patterns.
“Submerged” is a deep reflection on feeling lost in an ordinary life, drowning in routine while yearning for escape. With vivid imagery of being trapped in a vast, indifferent world, the song builds from despair to resilience, culminating in a struggle to rise above and reclaim one’s own destiny.
This single presents a raw and introspective side of Eventstellar, exploring alienation, stagnation, and the will to break free from the constraints of a repetitive existence.
