The recording sessions took place in late 2018 between Skógafoss Studios in Reykjavík, Iceland, and The Warehouse Zone in Dublin, Ireland.
Engineering was led by Sōun Kanda, with mixing by Rúnar Solhvitur, Silvan Arctander and Tavish “Tidehand” Ferguson. Mastering was completed by Magnus Thomasson and Torin Lennox.
With four tracks, Zimara represents one of the most intimate and ambitious moments in the Eventstellar canon. Blending cosmic rock and New York jazz, it explores the mythology of three celestial muses: Vanessa, Madeline and Yvonne Zima. Transforming memory and devotion into constellation and song.
